Funding Available

The Shropshire School Direct training programme is funded by tuition fees paid by the trainee who will be eligible for the standard student support package, including training, bursaries, tuition fee loans and scholarships.  The University reserves the right to revise rates in line with inflation or changes to higher education policy.  The University website will display the costs involved.  Attractive grants and bursaries are available for shortage subjects with larger amounts available for higher degree classifications.  These are available on the DfE/NCTL and UCAS websites.

Submission of application

All applications for teacher training will be managed by a single admissions process with UCAS For further information, please visit https://www.ucas.com/ucas/teacher-training

For Early Primary and General Primary the Provider Code is 2AN
(Woodfield Infant School and St Peter’s CofE Primary School)
and for Secondary the Provider Code is 1Q6
(The Priory School a Business and Enterprise College)

 

Initial Selection

Applicants will be selected for interview using academic and non-academic criteria and applicants will be able to track their application online through UCAS 'Track'.

Decisions following interview

Following selection and interview, offers will be made to applicants within 40 days of their application being received.  Conditional offers will be subject to degree results, passing professional skills test and completion of classroom observation.
